Who is this class for?
This course is designed for anyone who:
- Wants to take a high school equivalency test (like the GED or HiSET)
- Is preparing for a college math course
- Needs to take a placement or entrance exam
If you’re planning to take a high school equivalency test, it’s a good idea to spread your learning over at least a month so you’re ready for the test. If you’re preparing for college, I recommend starting in May for fall courses or August for spring courses.
How does the course work?
Since this class doesn’t meet at a set time, you can work when it fits your schedule. The course is designed to take UP TO 16 weeks (or about 4 months), with checkpoints to help you stay on track. But you can complete it much faster!
As you move through the course, you’ll:
✅ Review and strengthen math skills you already have
✅ Learn new ways to think about math
✅ Challenge your ideas and build confidence
✅ Connect with others who are on the same journey
Even though this is a self-paced course, you’re not alone! You’ll have chances to connect with other students and get feedback along the way.
I encourage you to keep an open mind, be patient with yourself, and enjoy the process. Math can be tough sometimes, but every step forward is progress.

The first class will be starting on TBD with registration closing two weeks prior on TBD
Two Last Notes
- The course itself is open and free with no stipulations beyond registration.
- However, if you would like there is a completely optional study that you could participate in. Information is provided in registration
- Grades for this course have no bearing on your test.
- This is independent studying you are doing. What the grade for this course helps with is your knowledge of your abilities and for me to provide helpful curriculum as you progress. Again, it will not be transferred anywhere. The value is in measuring your own learning for yourself.
